Feeling stressed or worn-out? Or do you simply want to optimise your sense of well-being? With Restorative yoga, you’ll get the chance to refresh your thoughts and look at your situation with a clearer and calmer mind.
Maryline’s standard Restorative sessions incorporates a sequence of 4-6 postures per class, with one single aim: deep relaxation. The support of props and blankets encourages the release of muscle tension and induces peace of mind.
The Restorative style is suitable for yoga beginners. It is recommended to anyone with a busy lifestyle, wishing to maintain good energy levels or address stress and anxiety issues. Expect to leave the class rejuvenated and calm.
Maryline loves to practice and teach Yoga Nidra. It’s a lying-down exercise where the subconscious mind remains highly receptive to cues of letting go & achieving peace. Maryline guides you to focus on different parts of the body in turn, and invite you to relax all along. Each Restorative Yoga class includes Yoga Nidra. Audio Recordings are available, they are helpful to counter sleep disruption.
Restorative Yoga is also adequate if you are recovering from a life event, illness or experiencing Chronic Fatigue symptoms. Contact Maryline to share any health condition you have prior to attending for the first time, so she can best advise you on which class is the most suitable.
**During Spring & Summer Restorative classes are every month, Wednesdays 8.15-9.30pm in-person at the new Carrot Banana Peach Knutsford Studio, or on Zoom. Cost is £14 for a studio class, £60 for a 5-class pass and £100 for a 10 class pass. £7 online. Book the studio class here.
